About Zero Motivation Studios

Hi! I’m Amy, and this fluffy nap enthusiast is Dakota—the real-life inspiration behind our perpetually exhausted husky mascot.
Like a lot of people, I spent years juggling work, deadlines, responsibilities, and the general chaos of adulting. Somewhere along the way, I realized that while the world was full of planners encouraging us to “hustle harder” and “live our best lives,” there weren’t many products that simply said…
“Yeah… today was a lot.”
That’s how Zero Motivation Studios was born.
I wanted to create something different; cute, cozy notebooks that celebrate imperfect humans, canceled plans, emotional support snacks, and an afternoon spent doing absolutely nothing. Instead of motivational quotes, our pages are filled with sleepy mascots, sarcastic notes, tiny comics, anxiety spirals, and wonderfully unhelpful observations from a cast of delightfully dysfunctional friends.
Dakota may have inspired the very first mascot, but he accidentally started a whole family. The procrastinating sloth, introverted bat, frazzled fennec fox, and the rest of the crew all exist for one simple reason:
To remind you that it’s okay to laugh at the chaos.
Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to Zero Motivation Studios.
We’re glad you’re here—even if you were supposed to be doing something else.
A Few Completely Unnecessary Facts
Favorite mascot: I refuse to choose.
Dakota’s job title: Chief Executive Floof
Office productivity level: Questionable.
Coffee consumed during the making of these notebooks: A concerning amount.
Biggest inspiration: The wonderfully imperfect humans who keep showing up anyway.
Disclaimer: No huskies were required to work overtime during the creation of these notebooks. Dakota was compensated fairly in treats, belly rubs, and frequent naps. Any resemblance between our mascots and emotionally exhausted humans is entirely intentional.
